Missing Woman in the Woods and Mischievous Kids on the Phone

Highlights from the North Andover police log of Sept. 19.

Sunday, Sept. 19

2:10 a.m. Officer stopped a vehicle that had defective equipment and cited the owner for not having insurance. The officer then arrested the other woman in the car, the driver -- Jinlenia Rodriguez, 24, of 128 Abbott St. in Lawrence -- for driving with a suspended license.

4:38 a.m. Officer went to Harold Parker State Forest to help a North Reading Police officer look for a missing woman from North Reading. The woman was found at 4:52 a.m. and was fine.

10:22 a.m. Someone called 911 and hung up. Police traced the call to a payphone the Volpe Center at Merrimack College and called the Merrimack College campus police, who investigated and found two kids playing with the payphone. Campus police told the kids to stop.

10:47 a.m. Police were called to 39 Highland View Ave., with a report of vandalism. Someone had scratched a woman's car, and she filed a report.
