Police ID Motorcycle Crash Victim

The crash happened late Tuesday morning.

Police have released the name of the man killed in Tuesday morning's motorcycle crash on Route 114.

Carrol Sylvanowicz, 66, of Beverly, was riding his 2004 Harley Davidson on Route 114 when he was in an accident involving a 2004 Ford F150 at just before 11 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

The accident happened near the intersection of Route 114 and Sharpners Pond Road, in front of Little Sprouts.

Police Officer Patrick Beirne responded along with Middleton Fire Department and treated the man at the scene. The man was taken via ambulance to Lawrence General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The operator of the pickup truck, whose name has not been released, was also taken to Lawrence General Hospital. There is no word on that person's condition at this time.

North Andover Police stayed at the accident scene to investigate and handle the heavy traffic afterward.
