Police and Fire Depts. Recieve Grants

This Christmas season is shaping up to be a good one for North Andover's police and fire departments -- in the form of grants amounting to almost $21,000 combined.

The has received a State 911 Department Training Grant of $15,547. The money will go toward training dispatchers at the station, as well as training materials, in an effort to have a top-notch communications center and handle emergencies in town as efficiently as possible.

The has received the 2012 Student Awareness of Fire Safety Grant of $5,265. This money will go toward educating local students about fire safety as well as educational supplies.
