Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in 125 Crash
Traffic was backed up as police investigated the cause.
A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries during the Thursday evening commute after colliding with a pick-up truck on Route 125.
Just after 5 p.m., police received a report of a crash on 125 near Chadwick Street. The motorcyclist -- whose name has not been released -- was riding southbound on that road when a pick-up truck took a left turn off of Chadwick Street and the two vehicles crashed, according to North Andover Police Lt. Charles Gray.
"The motorycylist had serious injuries, and he was quickly transported to Lawrence General Hospital," Gray said. "His condition is unknown at this time."
The accident, which is still under investigation, caused massive traffic delays on 125 for about an hour.
