Missing Child on Bike and Confused Tourist

The following are excepts from the North Andover Police log.

Monday, Aug. 22

  • At 1:44 a.m., an officer was flagged down by a woman in a car saying she could not find her son, who was out riding his bike. Police searched for the boy, who returned home a couple hours later.
  • At 7:25 a.m., a caller on Andover Street reported that someone had attempted to break into their home through a bulkhead.
  • At 5:07 p.m., a caller on Osgood Street reported a strange man walking through her back yard. Police questioned the man, who was from Canada and said he was looking for a certain historical landmark.
  • At 10:31 p.m., a caller on Saunders Street reported a group of youths shooting BB guns in the area. The group turned out to be adults, who were told by police to stop shooting their BB guns.
