Kids With Gun and Turkey On Rotary

The following are excepts from the log.

Tuesday, Dec. 6

At 2:27 p.m., a caller on High Street reported seeing two kids with a handgun. The gun turned out to be an airgun, and police confiscated it.

At 9 p.m., a caller at Stop & Shop reported a woman there asking people for a ride home. Police escorted the woman to the Middleton line but then discovered she had warrants for her arrest. Police then arrested the woman, Wendi Mattos, 43, of 15 Purchase St., Danvers, for trial warrants for larceny.

Wednesday, Dec. 7

At 11:51 a.m., a caller reported two turkeys in the rotary at the old town common. Police went to the scene, and the turkeys moved.

At 5:15 p.m., a caller on Candlestick Road reported that branches were sticking out into the road, causing traffic problems. Police notified the DPW.
