Gas Dispute Leads to Warrant Arrest

The following are excepts from the North Andover Police log.

Wednesday, June 26


At 10:05 a.m., the building inspector reported that a resident on Main Street was giving him and other town officials a hard time. Columbia gas was on the scene and shut off gas to the home. It turned out the man had multiple warrants relating to other cases. David Ginchereau, 38, of 11 Main St., North Andover, was arrested on those warrants.

At 4:38 p.m., police received a silent 911 call from Royal Crest. Police went to the home, and there was an altercation between two people there. One of the people left for the day.

At 4:59 p.m., a caller on Francis Street reported hearing a male yell "Oh my God!" and believed he may need assistance. Police searched but did not find the person.

Thursday, June 27


At 9:47 a.m., Market Basket reported a shoplifter. David Martinez, 22, of 67 Cross St., Lawrence, was charged with shoplifting and had seven warrants relating to other cases.
