Fuel Spill Backs up 114 For Miles in Both Directions
A release of diesel from a truck is causing traffic headaches spreading east and west from the accident scene at Johnson Street.
A wreck with a fuel spill is causing traffic tie-ups along 114 Wednesday evening.
According to reports, 50 or 60 gallons of diesel leaked out and may be entering wetlands. The accident took place at 114 and Johnston Street.
The wreck was apparently a standard car accident — something that's not rare on that section of 114. What set this wreck apart is that one of the vehicles was carrying a barrel of fuel.
