UPDATE: Pedestrian Killed on Route 114 Identified
The fatal crash happened Sunday night.
A pedestrian was killed Sunday evening after being struck by a vehicle on Route 114 near Stop & Shop.
Mah Jize, 18, a Merrimack College student from China, was killed when an SUV hit him as he and his friend were walking along Route 114, Police Detective Dan Cronin said. The victim's friend, also a Merrimack College student from China, was not injured.
Jize, who suffered serious injuries, was medflighted to Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, where he then succumbed to those injuries.

Police have reported several vehicle accidents as a result of the weekend storm and the power outages afterward, but this is the first serious accident reported.
The accident is still under investigation, so no further details are available.
