Domestic Assault and Stolen Yard Tools

The following are excepts from the North Andover Police log.

Saturday, July 27

At 11:49 a.m., a caller reported that her daughter was receiving inappropriate text messages from an unknown source.

At 2:30 p.m., there was a loose dog, a tan lab with a leash, on Wentworth Avenue. Police were unable to catch the dog.

At 10:42 p.m., a caller at Royal Crest reported that he heard a woman yelling and when he checked on her, she appeared to have been beaten. Nicholas Wallis, 25, of 24 Royal Crest Drive Apt. 9, North Andover, was charged with assault and battery on a household member.

Sunday, July 28

At 10:42 a.m., a caller on Park Street reported that a male was standing in front of a building and may be conducting a drug deal. It turned out the man was just talking on his phone with his mother.

At 4:44 p.m., a caller on Liberty Street reported theft of two shovels and a rake from his yard.

At 6:45 p.m., a caller on Turnpike Street reported that he found a hypodermic needle in his yard.
