Domestic Assault and Limping Goose

The following are excepts from the log.
Monday, Aug. 20
At 12:22 a.m., CVS reported that a female shoplifter had fled in a car with two girls.
At 1:09 a.m., a caller on Blue Ridge Road reported a domestic assault. The man in question had fled. Police later found him at a gas station. Steven Grant, 28, of 191 Prairie Road, Manchester, N.H., was arrested for assault and battery on a household member.

At 1:34 p.m., a caller on Johnson Street reported a dead rabbit on the road. But the rabbit was gone when police arrived.
At 4:14 p.m., Sgt. Thomas McEvoy reported that a man had approached him saying he was assaulted on Massachusetts Avenue. The incident led to a standoff with SWAT teams.

At 6:23 p.m., a caller reported that a large goose had been struck by a car at Dale and Winter streets. Police arrived but the goose was fine, just limping from what appeared to be an old injury.
