This is the 30th anniversary for National Night Out, which supports the Neighborhood Crime Watch initiatives for crime and drug prevention.  The program is designed to heighten awareness, and generate support and participation in anti-crime programs.  It strengthens neighborhood spirit, police-community partnerships, and sends a message to criminals letting them know that the neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
