Wednesday, June 22

12:08 a.m. A caller on Forest Street reported that a mailbox had been bashed in and a car had been damaged. Police are investigating.

6:23 a.m. A vehicle crashed into a pole at Farnum and Johnson streets. The pole was then being held up by the vehicle, so police had to leave it there until National Grid replaced the pole and had the vehicle towed. Traffic congestion was backed up in that area for a while.

11:11 a.m. A manager at reported a baby skunk sitting on the restaurant's front porch. Police went and reunited the baby skunk with its mother.

2:12 p.m. A caller on Turnpike Street reported seeing a man walking down the street with a gun and a scope. It turned out to be a boy carrying a BB gun. Police transported the boy to his mother's work.
