Alleged Shoplifter Had Several Warrants

The following information was supplied by the North Andover Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A man police say shoplifted from Kohl's over the weekend was also wanted on seven other warrants, including drug charges and assault.

On Sunday afternoon, Kohl's reported that a shoplifter had fled to Market Basket. Police found the suspect, and it turned out he was wanted on several warrants.

David Rivera, 32, of 44 Third St., Lowell, was charged with shoplifting as well as seven warrants including a drug violation near a school, possession of a class A substance and assault and battery.

Friday, July 5


At 10:38 a.m., a caller on Stage Coach Road reported a deer under their porch. Police helped move the deer along.

At 5:40 a.m., an officer checked on a woman in a parked car at Royal Crest who was crying. The woman said she was fine and just did not want her kids seeing her crying.

At 8:25 p.m., police received a report that a man overdosed on heroin.

Saturday, July 6


At 7:23p.m., a caller reported that a bag of items she bought at TJ Maxx was stolen at Market Basket.
