Great Escape: Comic Relief for Moms

Each week, we'll tell you about one great idea to give you a much deserved break, and make your life a little easier, maybe a whole lot easier.

Laughter is said to be the best medicine and a great escape from stress. Now that your kids have returned to school, you find yourself running back and forth from school to soccer to dance to music lessons, etc. You definitely deserve a night out.

Patch has heard that  is presenting a on Friday, Sept. 16, at 9 p.m., and Saturday, Sept. 17, at 9:30 p.m. 

The deal is all that moms will receive a special $5 off discount, and any mom with three or more kids will be entered into a drawing for a special door prize, according to Nicole Pizzi-Cerundolo of Chuckles.

Friday's door prize is a gift certificate to and Saturday, there will be certificates for an Elizabeth Grady micro elite facial and a spa pedicure.

In addition, six  bottles of wine will be given away each night, as well other special prizes.

Pizzi-Cerundolo, a mom herself, said she came up with the idea. 

"This weekend is special," she said. "We are welcoming all moms to have a fun night out at Chuckles!"

In order to get the discount, she said moms only need to show a picture of their kids.

Friday night's lineup will be hosted by Hank Morse from 105.7 Loren and Wally, Country 102.5 and Talk 96.9.

Both Friday and Saturday night shows will feature an appearance by "ultimate MOM" Christine Hurley who has 5 kids.

According to Pizzi-Cerundolo, Hurley was "runner up in Nick at Nite's Funniest Mom Contest."

Other comedians appearing Friday night will be Sean Sullvan, Mark Riley (NESN), Frank Santorelli (Georgie from the Sopranos). Saturday night will also feature Sullivan, Riley and Mike McCarthy (Irish Comedy Tour).

Doors will open up at 8 p.m. on both nights.
