Why would one of North Andover's elected leader's ask a judge for leniency for a convicted felon who defrauded the people of Lawrence and the United States.  How can we trust him to act in the best interest of North Andover while so easily excusing the contemptible actions of Lenny Degnan.  Just because they were childhood friends does not excuse what he did.  Mr. Vallencourt should thin twice before he puts his name on the line for a crook.  Birds of a feather as they say...
