Eclipx Salon’s Think Pink Event Supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month

SALISBURY — October is a month dedicated to breast cancer awareness. Whether it be a large, nation wide initiative aimed at raising money and awareness, or a small, local event that helps spread the word in the surrounding area; the end goal is to create an understanding of the struggles that women across the United States face in the wake of breast cancer.

With that said, Eclipx Salon, located in Salisbury, MA, made real gains in attaining that goal. From October 1st to October 31st, Natalie Riley, founder and owner of Eclipx, created a month long event called Think Pink. As advertised by a flashy pink sign, and social media, customers were able to get pink hair extensions for $15. All proceeds from the hair extensions, jewelry, and blanket sales went directly to My Breast Cancer Support; a local organization aimed at providing tangible, practical, and emotional support to breast cancer patients in the seacoast area.

Efforts like this one highlight Riley’s ongoing commitment to the community. Business operations at Eclipx regularly involve providing free haircuts to those in need, allowing local artists and jewelers to display work at the salon, and simply supporting community wide projects as a whole. Community involvement of this level is admirable, and truly sets the salon apart from others.

Furthermore, and to a great extent, Riley’s salon is matching the needs and demands of customers through green salon alternatives. Organic aloe based products, and pure essential oils are available for those interested in maintaining an organic lifestyle at the salon.

With a long-held interest in the wellbeing of local towns people and organizations, Eclipx, stands out as a salon doing a lot more than cuts and colors. Going beyond what’s expected, Riley provides customers with treatment unlike any other.
