We begin with a founding mother of the original Andover Parish, Mistress Anne Dudley Bradstreet and her husband, Simon.  He came here in 1644 from Ipswich to build a mill and the powerful Merrimack had exactly what he needed.

Along with the Barkers, who've been here since 1642 on what is now the oldest family-owned farm in the United States, the Farnum, Osgood and Stevens families were other early settlers.
