In addition to Small Business Saturday and the Santa Parade, the Saturday after Thanksgiving in North Andover offers a chance to support a great cause and have fun doing it.
The North Andover Merchants Association will host its 4th Annual Cystic Fibrosis Night, co-sponsored by Doctors Express, Nov. 30 from 6 to 11 p.m. at Rolf's Pub.
"This event has become a tradition for our organization, and we're happy to support an important cause," NAMA President Sylvie Foulds said.
NAMA teamed up with KC’s Dream Team, a North Andover-based group of volunteers, to sponsor the event in 2010., and it has been a snowballing success.
"Since we began hosting this event, NAMA has raised almost $7,000 for Cystic Fibrosis," Phil DeCologero, the event organizer, said. "We are truly fortunate in North Andover to have businesses that are always willing to give back to the community."
Admission is $5. This year's event will feature raffle prizes donated by local businesses and free psychic readings from 8 to 10 p.m. Free pizza is being provided by Taki's Pizza.
