How You Can Help Tommy Cox
The local child will face an uphill struggle after a devastating boating accident.
Several days ago, 10-year-old Tommy Cox of North Andover was in a catastrophic boating accident. And now, his family could use your help.
Tommy has since lost one of his legs, according to family friend and neighbor Dina Pepi.
Pepi is one of many people on Tommy Team Support Group, a collective of Tommy's friends and family building emotional and financial support for the Cox family.
The website is a one-stop place for supporters to learn about fundraising efforts, donate money, chat in discussion forums, view/post photos and more.
"The family is so thankful by the outpouring of support people have shown," Pepi wrote in an email to supporters. "They wanted us to pass along a word of thanks to everyone for stepping up to help out in some way. While Tommy continues to make amazing strides every day, he has a long road of recovery ahead of him."
