26th Annual Cycle for Shelter Bike Ride
International Cars, Ltd., (ICL) family of auto dealerships announced its 11th year as a presenting sponsor of Emmaus' Annual Cycle for Shelter on Sunday, July 27 in Haverhill, MA. Now in its 26th year, the annual cycling fundraiser supports Emmaus, a community-based non-profit that provides housing and support services to homeless individuals and families. For more than a decade, ICL's dealerships have sponsored the Cycle for Shelter event as part of their continued commitment to supporting communities that surround each dealership location.
The Cycle for Shelter event starts at the Sports and Fitness Center at Northern Essex Community College at 100 Elliot Street. Cyclists can visit http://events.emmausinc.org/ to register for 100, 62, and 20 mile courses. Since the first Cycle for Shelter ride in 1989, more than 5,000 cyclists and volunteers have helped Emmaus raise more than $1 million.
Charitable giving is a cornerstone of ICL's business model for all five of its dealerships, located in Danvers, Massachusetts and Dover and Stratham, New Hampshire. ICL supports community organizations year-round and most recently contributed $10,000 to the American Red Cross of Northeast Massachusetts as part of its 3rd Annual First Responders Sales Drive.
