Winter Storm Expected This Weekend

Nevermind a white Christmas. North Andover may have a white Halloween.

The National Weather Service is issuing a winter storm advisory for much of Massachusetts including North Andover.

Saturday is expected to be rainy throughout the afternoon, and then the snow is expected to arrive Saturday night around 9 p.m. Temperatures are expected to be just below freezing, and about an inch of snow is possible Saturday night.

Then on Sunday, more snow is expected, possibly mixed with some rain.

There won't likely be a large accumulation of snow -- communities west of North Andover will see more accumulation. But slippery roads are likely in North Andover as well as some flooding.
