Unofficial Mayor Nominee: Beverly Oakes

Beverly is nominated by her sister and is well-known in town.

Patch is holding an contest, and our next nominee is local resident Beverly Oakes.

Beverly may be a familiar face to many in town, often seen walking around downtown greeting everyone with a smile.

"Beverly is a special needs person, but also a special person," Beverly's sister Nancy Finn said. "She grew up in North Andover. She has lived here for 56 years.  You can see Beverly walking down Main Street everyday and she knows everyone in every store/restaurant.  If you mention Beverly's name anywhere, they say 'You're Beverly's sister? I know Beverly!' She is the friendliest person with a heart of gold. I believe she should be the unofficial mayor of North Andover."
