Tierney Marks Sept. 11th Anniversary

Congressman John Tierney released the following statement marking the tenth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. Later this weekend, he will join local residents at memorial ceremonies around our area, including in Peabody, Reading and Amesbury.

"Ten years after the September 11th attacks, I join Americans around our country in paying tribute to those innocent men and women and the courageous first responders who died that day," Tierney said. "So many of us lost friends or family and I am humbled by the collective effort of our community to remember the lives of those lost and assist those in need. Together, we will continue to support our first responders who remain vigilant in improving our national security, support our troops at home and overseas, and aid efforts to further protect our families and communities."
