STORM BLOG: Accumulation Changes, Power Outages and More

7:00 p.m. Visibility is extremely poor, and the roads are extremely slippery. Police report no accidents at this time but are advising residents to stay home.

7:10 p.m. National Grid reporting many power outages across the state west of here but none in North Andover yet.

7:30 p.m. Route 125 near the and Ozzy Properties is filled with freezing fog. Combined with the snowfall, there's no visibility there.

7:45 p.m. The North Andover High School Pep Rally practice scheduled for tomorrow morning has been canceled.

7:50 p.m. Forecasters are now calling for more snow than first thought. We could see up to 10 inches here by morning.

8:00 p.m. Reports of power outages at Heritage Green condos. Lights flickering on Pleasant Street.

8:20 p.m. Reports of power outages in the Massachusetts Avenue area near Sylvan Terrace.

9:00 p.m. Police reporting no accidents still, but a lot of power lines down.

9:20 p.m. Lots of power outages reported. Whole area around Massachusetts Avenue from Waverly to Dale Street to Route 114 without power, more than 2,000 customers.

9:25 p.m. Ghoul School at the High School, scheduled for tomorrow, has been cancelled. For those of you planning to head down to Boston for the Komen Foundation Cancer Walk, that has been cancelled as well.

9:55 p.m. Reports of two large trees down near China Blossom and branches falling all over town.

10:00 p.m. Police report no major accidents so far but say they are slammed with calls about trees down, power lines down and more.

10:15 p.m. More than 2,300 National Grid customers in North Andover without power. Branches can be heard snapping all over town, under the heavy wet snow.

10:45 p.m. Temperatures have dropped just below freezing, and the roads are icing up. Seems to be several inches of snow on the ground.
