Snow-tober Updates: No School, No Halloween, No Power

The storm has left thousands without electricity.

In the second day after the massive October snowstorm that rocked North Andover, many in town still have no power.

This was the worst October storm on record, and millions of people on the east coast are without power as well.

  • As of Sunday night, almost 4,000 homes were National Grid is calling in reinforcements from other parts of the country, and they expect to have a clearer idea of what to expect at some point Monday.
  • The has been set up as a shelter for people who are still without power or heat.
  • North Andover public schools are closed Monday due to the power outages.
  • Trick-or-Treat has been postponed until Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. due to the power outages.
  • Several businesses around town are closed because their power is out. If you have somewhere to go, call ahead.
