Snow Forecast Update: North Andover May Get Six Inches

The snow is expected to be here Saturday evening into Sunday.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for this weekend, and now it is is upping its prediction of snow and now forecasting that North Andover could get up to six inches of it.

On Saturday afternoon there will likely be heavy rain and some thunder and fog. Strong winds are expected as well, and some flooding is possible.

Then Saturday night, the snow will start, and three to five inches is expected to accumulate. The snow will be accompanied by some thunder and freezing fog. Temperatures will be just below freezing with blustery winds and wind gusts as high as 40 miles per hour.

On Sunday, the snow will continue in the morning, accumulating another inch, and then will mix with rain. Sunday morning road conditions are expected to be hazardous, with snow, rain and fog. Then Sunday afternoon is expected to be partly sunny with temperatures rising to the low 40s.
