Snow Expected for North Andover

The region could see as much as three inches by Thursday night.

North Andover may see its first snowfall of the season Thursday, and it could make for a messy evening commute.

The National Weather Service is forecasting rain in the morning followed by snow in the late afternoon and evening. Temperatures are expected to be in the mid-40s so a rain/snow mix is likely with less than half an inch of snow accumulating.

But Thursday night, temperatures are expected to drop to below 30 degrees, and up to three inches of snow is possible before midnight.

The late night snow will also likely be accompanied by freezing fog, creating low visibility and hazardous road conditions.
