Slippery Mix Expected for Monday

Freezing rain and ice will start the week.

For the second day in a row, the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory.

The advisory is in effect on Monday from 5 a.m. and 11 a.m.  and was prompted by the possibility for freezing rain on Monday morning in North Andover and the surrounding area of the Merrimack Valley.

Up to a tenth of an inch of freezing rain and sleet could accumulate on Monday morning before a changeover to all rain by midday, the weather service said in its advisory issued on Sunday at 2:28 p.m.
