POWER UPDATE: Much of North Andover May Be Restored Today

Crews are working on certain neighborhoods now.

Many more homes in North Andover may have power back today, Emergency Management Director Jeff Coco said.

Three days after the there are currently about 2,400 homes still without power as of Tuesday afternoon. But crews are busy working on certain neighborhoods to restore power to many.

"First they're working on the Johnson Street area, which still has about 900 customers out," Coco said. "They're in the process of doing that as we speak."

Next, crews will work on the and area. All of the other public schools are restored already.

After that, crews will head in toward the more rural neighborhoods today.

"From Boston Street all the way into Boxford Street should be back up soon," Coco said. "Once we get beyond our three or four primary priorities, then we’re just going to go to the greatest concentrations of outages."
