PHOTOS: NAPD Joins Convoy for Nathan

The mission was to make a boy's Christmas wish come true.

Santa delivers a lot of smiles at Christmas. And sometimes, a child's smile is delivered by hundreds of police officers bringing Christmas cheer.

North Andover Police Det. Daniel Cronin and Det. Sean Daley took part in the massive convoy for Nathan Norman last week.

Nathan, age 6, of Rustburg, Va., is battling brain cancer. His heroes are police officers, firefighters and EMTs, and his Christmas wish was to receive cards and letters from police officers, firefighters and EMTs.

So hundreds of public safety officers -- including North Andover's Cronin and Daley -- headed to Virginia to make that wish come true in person. They formed a convoy to deliver cards to Nathan.
