PHOTO: Jimmy Fund Golf Raises $6.4 Million for Cancer Research

Diane Lynch of North Andover attended the 29th annual Jimmy Fund Classic at The International Golf Club in Bolton on Oct. 3 to celebrate another season of raising funds on the greens for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

The Jimmy Fund Classic is an annual event that recognizes tournament organizers and sponsors who helped raise more than $6.4 million in 2011. Jimmy Fund Golf is one of the largest and oldest grassroots charity golf programs in the nation and since 1983 the organization has raised more than $85 million for life-saving cancer research and treatment.

Lynch is actively involved in raising money and awareness for cancer research. There is also a blood drive in her son Jack's memory this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at
