Five Ways to Save This Week

We're all watching our family budgets these days. Whether shopping with coupons or looking for two-for-one deals, we're taking advantage of all sorts of offers and savings that help us stretch our dollars.

This column will be dedicated to giving you five great local deals each week that will help your family’s bottom line, and since we do the scouting for you, you can save time as well as money.

Deal: Residents can participate in Make and Take Valentine craft-time on Friday, Feb. 11. from 3 to 5:30 p.m. in the Community Reading Room. The event is free, all ages are welcome, and no registration is required. Young children must be accompanied by an adult.

Deal: In the mood for a home-cooked steak dinner for you and the family? Stop & Shop is having a sale on sirloin steak tips, $4.99 a lb.

Deal: With only a few more weeks of winter, some spring clothing shopping may be in order. Kohl's Department Store is having sales on a variety of kids' clothes, from play clothes to outerwear and shoes.

Deal: Pizza night is a favorite for many families. Amic's is offering $4 off any order of $35 or more with coupon.

5. CHUNKY'S CINEMA

Deal: Chunky's Cinema in Haverhill is offering and their parents Wednesday at noon. "How to Train Your Dragon" will be shown.
Admission is free.
