Local news for your morning.

Today is Monday, Oct. 29. Here are five things you need to know.

  • No School: Schools have been closed for the day.
  • Halloween: Trick-or-Treat is planned for Wednesday and has not been canceled at this time. Check back for updates on that too.
  • Pumpkins: And speaking of Halloween, make sure you upload your jack-o-lantern photos!
  • This Day in History: In 1652, the Massachusetts Bay Colony proclaimed itself an independent commonwealth. In 1929, the Great Depression began with the Wall Street stock market crash.
