  • This Day in History: In 1880, Thomas Edison began the commercial production of electric lamps. In 1908, Henry Ford introduced the Model T automobile. In 1946, 12 Nazi officials were sentenced to death at the International War Crimes Tribunal in Nuremberg. In 1981, EPCOT Center opened in Florida.
