  • More Chill: Temperatures are expected to be in the high 20s most of the day, with clear sunny skies and strong winds.

  • Open Burning: Open burning season has begun. Look on the town's Web site for more information as well as to apply for a permit.
  • Meals Tax Holiday: The state legislature is debating a meals tax holiday for a week in March.
  • This Day in History: In 1861, Georgia seceded from the Union. In 1953, "I Love Lucy" main character Lucy Ricardo gave birth, and almost 70 percent of households with TV sets nationwide tuned in. In 1966, Indira Gandhi was elected prime minister of India. The first WWF restaurant opened in New York City.
