• Cooling Down: Temperatures are expected to be in the high 30s most of the day, with clear sunny skies.
• Meeting: The Finance Committee will meet at 6:45 p.m. at Town Hall.
• Flu Shot Shortage: Many local pharmacies are out of flu shots. Call your doctor to arrange to get one to avoid catching the flu.
• Heroes: The Northeast Massachusetts chapter of the Red Cross is looking for nominations for its annual Community Heroes Awards. The awards are presented in six categories during the annual Community Heroes Breakfast, which will be held March 21 from 7:30-9 a.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Danvers. • This Day in History: In 1863, "The Boston Morning Journal" became the first paper in the nation to be published on wood pulp paper. In 1892, "Triangle" magazine in Springfield, Mass., published the rules for a new game now known as basketball, In 1913, the first telephone line between Berlin and New York was opened. In 1986, President Ronald Reagan signed legislation making Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday a national holiday.
