Five Things You Need to Know: April 28

Happy Arbor Day.

Today is Thursday, April 28. Here are five things you need to know:

  • Warmth, Maybe Showers: Today's temperatures are expected to be in the 70s again with some morning fog and chance of afternoon showers.
  • Arbor Day: Today is Arbor Day in North Andover. So get out there and plant a tree.
  • Knights at Bat: The Scarlet Knights boys varsity and JV baseball teams will play against Amesbury at 3:45 p.m. at North Andover High School.
  • Mosquito Prep: There will be a Board of Health meeting at 7 p.m. at Town Hall with a presentation on plans to spray for mosquitoes.
  • This Day in History: In 1919, the League of Nations was founded. In 1952, the treaty with Japan took effect and American occupation of Japan ended. In 1967, boxer Muhammad Ali's boxing title was taken away when he refused to join the Army on religious grounds.
