Five Things You Need to Know: April 20

More April showers.

Today is Wednesday, April 20. Here are five things you need to know:

  • April showers: Grab your umbrella. It's expected to be rainy all day.
  • Soccer: The is hosting this week, from 9 to 11:30 a.m., for kids 8-12, coached by licensed coaches. Kids can keep their soccer skills fine tuned during their vacation.
  • Tea Party: There will be a from 7 to 9 p.m. at 32 Park St., North Andover.
  • Almost Easter: Looking for Easter stuff? Check back this morning, because Patch has a post about where to find Easter stuff in town.
  • This Day in History: In 1775, colonial American troops began the siege of Boston, which was held by British troops. In 1861, Robert E. Lee resigned from U.S. Army (and went on to lead the Confederate Army). In 1912, Fenway Park opened in Boston as new home of the Red Sox. In 1999, two students opened gunfire at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colo., killing 13 people.
