Five Things You Need to Know: April 1

April Fools Day is bringing us snow.

Today is Friday, April 1. Here are five things you need to know:

  • 'Sno Joke: April has brought us snow. Expect several inches of fresh snow today into tonight, along with strong wind gusts.
  • Help a Neighbor: Here are several in the snow storm.
  • Kids Night: is having its from 6:30-9 p.m. at 165 Haverhill St., Andover. You can drop the kids off and do your own thing, and they can play games, eat a light snack and then go to the pool for a swim.
  • Laugh at the Snow: is having its tonight from 9 to 11 p.m.
  • This Day in History: In 1621, the new colonists of Plymouth, Mass., created the first treaty with Native Americans. In 1789, the U.S. House of Representatives held its first full meeting, in New York, and elected Frederick Muhlenberg of Pennsylvania as the nation's first Speaker of the House. In 1984, Marvin Gaye was killed at the age of 44 by his own father.
