Five Things to Do This Weekend

Some stuff to fill your calendar.

It's Friday, and you're looking for things to do. This weekend is expected to be pleasant weather-wise, and after several days of rain you probably have a bit of cabin fever. Here are five things to do this weekend.

When/Where: Friday at 7 p.m. at

Why Go: It's the start of the football season and NAHS is playing against rival Andover. Admission is free, and it gives you a chance to support your home team.

When/Where: Friday at 9 p.m. at Chuckles Comedy Club.

Why Go: Chuckles is having their Best of Boston Comedy event. Admission is $20.

When/Where: Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. at

Why Go: You can drop the kids off at the YMCA, where they can enjoy a night of crafts and sports, and then you can head out to dinner or whatever else you want to do. This is for kids ages 4 to 12. Cost for YMCA Family Members is $10 per child; $20 for the community. Pre-register at the Welcome Center.

When/Where: Sunday at 9 a.m. at

Why Go: Residents are invited to a ceremony, held by the and Veterans Services, remembering the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks.

When/Where: Sunday from 12:30 to 2 p.m. on the Common.

Why Go: Local teen Samantha Martens is holding a 9/11 remembrance ceremony on the town common that will include a moment of silence at 1 p.m. She is also collecting letters and packages for troops overseas.
