Five Things to Do This Weekend

Some fun for your weekend planner.

It's Friday, and you've endured a long rainy week. Here are five things to do in North Andover this weekend.

Why Go: It's Homecoming, and the Knights are playing against Lynn Classical. And the Varsity Cheerleaders are selling raffle tickets to win a gift basket with $250 worth of gift cards to local stores and restaurants including Butcher Boy, Mad Maggies, Stop and Shop, Statchey's, TJMax, ITunes,and more. Tickets will be on sale at the football game Friday and this weekend at Mad Maggies (Saturday and Sunday evening). Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $10. The winner will be drawn Nov. 11.

Why Go: The show will feature Scott MacNeill, Jeanne Sullivan-Toomey, Dan Gill, Jack Walsh, Johnny Pizzi and Dave Russo.

Why Go: The North Andover Athletic Association is holding its first road race on Homecoming Weekend. Runners and walkers are welcome to complete the 5K course. There is also a Fun Run for kids under 12. Proceeds will benefit the North Andover Athletic Association which supplements athletic programs with banners, awards and sponsorships. Why Go: Trinitarian Congregational Church will host its 1st Annual Harvest Festival. Event highlights will include crafts, gifts, kids' korner, Grammy's attic, silent auction, baked goods and more.

Why Go: The dinner will include roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce and apple crisp. Entertainment will be by Russ McQueen. Tickets are $15 for adults and $6 for children under 12. This event is open to the public, and tickets are on sale at the senior center.
