When/Where: Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Tewksbury Country Club, 1880 Main St., Tewksbury.

Why Go: If you don't mind driving a little out of town, the Stanley Cup will be on display at the Tewksbury Country Club. Tickets are $10 and will be sold at the door on a first come, first serve basis. Proceeds from this event will go to families of fallen veterans.

When/Where: Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 55 Towne Road, Boxford.

Why Go: Howell Custom Building GroupBenjamin Nutter Architects,LLC  and Preservation Timber Framing invite you an open farm day at ifarm, llc - a classic, historic New England farmhouse, barn, carriage house and 17-acre property that is being restored in the hopes of creating a 19th century working farmstead. At 3 p.m. Tom Hubka, author of "Big House, Little House, Back House, Barn: The Connected Farm Buildings of New England" will speak. Throughout the day there will be tours of the restored barn, carriage house, and farmhouse. Refreshments will be served. A voluntary contribution to either the Boxford or Topsfield Historical Society will be accepted.

When/Where: Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Shedd Park, 433 Rogers St., Lowell.

Why Go: Bring beach chairs and a picnic to enjoy while the Lowell Philharmonic performs light classical music and patriotic favorites. The audience and orchestra will be seated under the pavilion, so the concert will be held rain or shine. Admission is free. The concert is very popular, so arrive early. Park at the Pavilion, on Knapp Avenue or Boylston Street.

5. See Stevens Pond

When/Where: All Day, Every Day at Stevens Pond on Johnson Street.

Why Go: It's summer, and Stevens Pond is a public beach in your own back yard. Why not go?
