Fake Prescription and Bullying Dog

Items from the North Andover Police logs of June 25 and June 26.

The following are excerpts from the North Andover Police log. The information is open to the public.

Saturday, June 25

3:13 a.m. An employee at reported that a female was there trying to pass a fake prescription. Two people were waiting for her outside in a gold Toyota Camry. Police went to the store and arrested Kelly Greenhalge, 43, of 25 Norcross St., Lowell, for uttering a false prescription. They also arrested Chad Hickey, 27, of 66 Harris Ave., Lowell, on several trial warrants.

11:09 a.m. A caller reported that a manhole cover on Turnpike Street near National Grid had slid off, and a U-Haul truck had hit it. There was damage to the truck.

1:25 p.m. A resident walked into the station reporting that a large dog was sitting at his front door on East Water Street and would not let him into his house. Police went to the home to address the dog, but the dog ran away. Police later tracked down and caught the dog -- a boxer/pitbull mix -- and brought it to Andover Animal Hospital.

4:35 p.m. A caller reported that a man was standing on Massachusetts Avenue and yelling at cars. Police went there, but they found no one there.

Sunday, June 26

9:13 a.m. A caller reported that the man holding the sign on Massachusetts Avenue and yelling at cars was back and doing it again. Police went there, but the man was just holding a sign up and not yelling.

12:42 p.m. A caller on Marblehead Street reported a domestic situation in progress. Police went to the home and reported Shannon M. Fontaine, 114 Marblehead St., for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and witness intimidation.

7:39 p.m. reported that a man played $300 worth of Keno and didn't have the money to pay for it. Police went there, and the man went home to get some money.
