Edgewood’s Aqua Zumba Raises $800 for Massachusetts Alzheimer’s Association

The following was submitted by the Edgewood Retirement Community.

Over 27 participants made a big splash on Saturday March 9th raising $800 for the Massachusetts Alzheimer’s Association at Edgewood’s first ever Aqua Zumba® fundraiser.

Aqua Zumba® is a fun and safe way to exercise in the water and provides great cardio and toning benefits.   Instructors for the event included included Nancy Ryan, the Exercise Specialist at Edgewood who teaches Aqua Zumba® classes three times a week to residents as well as Zumba classes at the North Andover Senior Center.

“Alzheimer’s is a disease that takes a toll not only on individuals but entire families,” said Paula Kelley The Director of Well-Being at Edgewood. “This was the first Aqua Zumba® event we’re aware of to benefit the MA Alzheimer’s Association and we were excited to help.”
