The freezing rain and frigid morning temperatures will make for a thin sheet of ice and a very slippery morning commute across the western Merrimack Valley, points west and down toward Boston. Sidewalks will be very slippery as well, so use caution while walking.

In the afternoon, temperatures are expected to warm up to about 40 degrees, and the freezing rain will likely turn to rain for the remainder of the day. At that point, flooding is possible.
