Boston Marathon Runner: Christina Minicucci

Christina Minicucci trains a lot on the pavement, and perhaps having three kids also offers enough running around to qualify as training in itself.

Profession: Full-time mom of three, part-time runner.

Marathon Experience: First timer.

Reason for Running: "I've been a runner since high school and have always wanted to run the Boston Marathon. I was given the opportunity to run with the Children's Hospital team in honor of my friend Darcy Rubino's daughter Amanda McClafferty, a patient of Children's and also a North Andover resident!"

Training Tip: "Find a good training partner who will stay by your side and keep you motivated no matter what weather New England throws at you (Shout out to Brian Dorsey of NA for being that partner in crime!!)"

Qualified Runner or Charity Bib: Charity for Boston Children's Hospital.

Bib Number: 21575

Christina also runs with the Borderline Running Club, which meets out on the Common every Saturday at 6:45 a.m.

"BRC Saturday morning runs are open to anyone and everyone and are lots of fun!" she said.

The 117th Boston Marathon will be Monday, April 15.
