Friendly’s Treats Veterans and Active Military to Free Breakfast on Veterans Day

Wilbraham, MA (November 15, 2013) – To honor those who have served our country and protected our freedom, for the second year in a row, select Friendly’s locations served veterans and active military free breakfast this Veterans Day, November 11.

Guests who showed their military ID or honorable discharge card received a complimentary Big-Two-Do® breakfast and coffee. The Big-Two-Do® allows guests to customize their breakfast entrée by choosing two slices of French toast, two buttermilk pancakes or two slices of toast; two strips of crispy bacon or two sausage links and two made-to-order farm fresh eggs.

Friendly’s takes pride in giving back to the community and recognizing the men and women who diligently have and continue to serve our country. Friendly’s donated over 15,000 free breakfasts and over 12,000 cups of coffee, contributing over $119,000 in complimentary food and beverage service.

“It is our honor to give back to these brave men and women who have so diligently risked their own lives to protect us,” says Friendly’s CEO, John Maguire. “Friendly’s is dedicated to giving back to the community in any way we can and we are humbled to be able to make this contribution to our military personnel.”

Participating Friendly’s locations included Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Vermont and Virginia.
