Terry Holland Inauguration Sunday at Sheep Shearing

Patch will be joined by guests to honor the unofficial mayor of North Andover.

No mayoral election process is complete without an inauguration.

So on Sunday, at the 40th annual Sheep Shearing Festival, Patch will host a 2012 Unofficial Inauguration for Unofficial Mayor Terry Holland.

The ceremony will be at the stage at 12:30 p.m. Town Moderator Mark DiSalvo will be unofficially presiding over the unofficial inauguration "swearing-in." State Rep. David Torrisi will also be there with a citation to present to Holland.

So make sure you go to the Sheep Shearing Festival and head to the stage area to honor and celebrate Holland as your new unofficial mayor.

The owner raked in a staggering 9,127 votes, 56 percent of the vote. He was followed by Town Clerk Joyce Bradshaw, who got 39 percent. For a while, Team Terry and Team Joyce swapped the lead back and forth. And local pet care specialist Tracey Zysk came in third with 2 percent.

A lifelong North Andover resident, Holland is actively involved in many local groups and programs, including the Tourney for Tim and the North Andover Merchants Association. He is known for working tirelessly on behalf of youth sports, the schools and the local Youth Center and is instrumental in getting the town funding for its parks and fields.
