Ring In the Year of the Snake
China Blossom offers celebration for the Chinese New Year.
Traditional American New Year's Eve has come and gone, but you can still ring in the new year in North Andover with a kick. The Chinese New Year, that is.
in collaboration with the Andover Chinese Cultural Exchange, will host a festival celebrating the Chinese New Year and welcoming the Year of the Snake on Sunday, Feb. 10.
The event will feature authentic Chinese cuisine, live music, lion dance demonstrations, and martial arts demonstration by Yang's Martial Arts. Award-winning musician Zhan-tao Lin will play the Er-hu (similar to a violin), and award winning Boston Guzheng Ensemble founder Shin-Yi Yang will play the Gu-zheng (ancient Chinese string instrument).

Last year's celebration drew such large crowds that there will be a second seating this year. You'll have a choice of attending a 4 p.m. performance or a 6 p.m. performance, each to be followed by dinner.
Tickets are $30 per person ($25 for seniors and $20 for kids under age 11), and can be purchased online here or by calling China Blossom at (978) 682-2242.
